Nigella aka Black Cumin, Fennel Flower. Unrelated to both onion and cumin! Native to southern Europe and western Asia, has long been cultivated as a spice. The ripe seeds have a camphor-like scent and a bitter, later aromatic taste. May contain traces of celery seed or mustard seeds.
Storage: Cool, dry & hygienic; away from direct light & strong odours. Once opened keep in an air tight container for freshness.
